The Wine: 2024 Mâcon-Villages Chardonnay, from the outskirts of Azé, in the northern reaches of the Mâcon-Villages appellation. Planted on a steep westerly-facing slope, the fruit retains its acidity thanks to a cool microclimate and limestone-rich soil, resulting in bright, fresh wines. The grapes were pressed, settled, and racked without any additions or SO2 into large-format barrels for fermentation by indigenous yeasts.
